Job Purpose:

To manage and oversee the daily operations of the air freight department, ensuring efficient handling of import and export shipments, compliance with customs regulations, and high levels of customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute and monitor daily operations for both import and export shipments at AUH Airport.
  • Manage interactions with customs clearance teams and other government entities to improve productivity and expedite clearance and delivery processes.
  • Oversee the 24x7 customer service counters at Etihad, ensuring smooth e-clearance services and resolving any issues promptly.
  • Ensure timely and accurate communication between airport operations, head office, agents, and customers.
  • Plan staff vacations to ensure business continuity.
  • Develop and enhance daily work procedures to meet company standards and achieve optimal results.
  • Act as the primary contact with airport customs, Etihad airport services, and airport police to ensure priority handling of shipments.
  • Supervise the import and clearance of oversized consignments, ensuring all necessary tools, staff, and permissions are in place.
  • Ensure timely updates of all events and documents in CW1 TMS, monitor costs and sales for invoicing, and notify the finance department of raised invoices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in air freight operations, including import/export processes.
  • 4-6 Years of Experience
