• Patient monitoring: Assess and monitor the vital signs and health of pregnant patients, including fetal heart rate, and provide prenatal and postpartum care.
• Labor and delivery assistance: Prepare patients for labor and delivery, assist during childbirth, administer medications, and provide emotional support to patients and their families.
• Newborn care: Care for newborns immediately after birth, including evaluating their health, taking vital signs, cleaning, weighing, and educating parents on newborn care.
• Patient education: Educate patients on various topics, such as prenatal care, family planning, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery.
• Collaboration: Work closely with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless and comprehensive patient care.
• Administrative duties: Maintain accurate patient records and charts, and ensure a sterile and safe environment for procedures.
