he OPD Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the outpatient department, ensuring smooth scheduling, registration, patient flow, and communication between departments. This role supports both patients and healthcare providers by facilitating effective service delivery, minimizing delays, and maintaining high standards of patient care and administrative efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Flow & Scheduling:
  • Coordinate patient appointments, walk-ins, and follow-ups to minimize wait times.
  • Monitor patient queues and manage time slots to avoid overcrowding.
  • Liaise with doctors, nursing staff, and diagnostics to ensure smooth consultations.
  • Administrative Duties:
  • Supervise front desk and reception operations.
  • Maintain OPD records, reports, and documentation accurately.
  • Ensure proper registration and billing procedures are followed.
  • Team Coordination:
  • Coordinate with nurses, doctors, lab technicians, and other OPD staff for day-to-day workflow.
  • Train, guide, and monitor support staff for improved performance.
  • Patient Support:
  • Address patient queries, concerns, and complaints courteously.
  • Assist elderly or differently-abled patients through the process.
  • Compliance & Quality:
  • Ensure adherence to hospital policies, hygiene standards, and patient confidentiality norms.
  • Monitor OPD service quality and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Inventory & Supplies:
  • Monitor availability of medical and office supplies in the OPD and raise requisitions as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
