Job Description – Operations Supervisor (Cleaning Services)

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily cleaning operations, managing cleaning staff, ensuring service quality, and maintaining strong client relationships. This role requires hands-on supervision, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple sites efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

1. Team Supervision & Scheduling

  • Supervise, coordinate, and support cleaning staff across assigned sites.
  • Prepare and manage duty rosters to ensure adequate staffing.
  • Monitor staff attendance, performance, and discipline.

2. Quality Control

  • Conduct site inspections to ensure cleaning standards are consistently met.
  • Implement corrective actions when service delivery falls short.
  • Enforce company cleaning procedures and client-specific requirements.

3. Client Management

  • Serve as the first point of contact for client requests, complaints, and feedback.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication.
  • Provide operational reports to management and clients when required.

4. Training & Development

  • Train cleaning staff on equipment usage, chemical handling, and safety protocols.
  • Ensure ongoing staff development to maintain service excellence.
  • Promote compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

5. Resource & Inventory Management

  • Monitor stock of cleaning supplies and equipment to avoid shortages.
  • Ensure proper usage, handling, and storage of cleaning chemicals.
  • Coordinate with procurement for timely replenishment of materials.

6. Health & Safety Compliance

  • Enforce safe working practices, including proper use of PPE.
  • Investigate and report workplace incidents or hazards.
  • Ensure adherence to risk assessments and safety procedures.

7. Operational Reporting & Planning

  • Prepare daily/weekly operational reports for management.
  • Support mobilization of new cleaning projects and special assignments.
  • Ensure operations are delivered on time and within budget.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Facilities Management, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of supervisory experience in cleaning/facility management.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple sites and work under pressure.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Valid UAE driving license (preferred, if applicable).
