Operation Theatre Technician

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the Operation Theater before surgeries (equipment, instruments, sterilization)
• Assist surgeons and nurses during operations by providing instruments and supplies
• Ensure all surgical instruments, drapes, and equipment are sterile and ready
• Set up and operate OT equipment such as suction machines, cautery machines, OT lights, monitors, etc.
• Maintain strict aseptic and infection-control protocols in the OT
• Assist anesthetists with equipment arrangement and patient preparation
• Handle specimen collection and labeling for lab tests
• Clean, disinfect, and restock the OT after each procedure
• Maintain records of instrument usage, sterilization cycles, and equipment maintenance
• Check OT inventory and ensure availability of surgical consumables
• Support in patient shifting to and from the OT
• Report any equipment malfunction or shortages to the OT in-charge

Qualifications:

• Diploma/B.Sc in Operation Theater Technology (DOTT / BOTT)
• Experience in a hospital OT preferred (freshers also considered)
• Knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and sterile techniques
• Good understanding of infection-control and OT safety standards
• Ability to work under pressure and follow instructions accurately
• Good communication and teamwork skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
