Operations Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage CA7/mainframe batch schedules
• Analyze job performance, SLAs, and processing metrics
• Troubleshoot job failures, reruns, dependencies & runtime issues
• Support automation tools, reporting, and operational dashboards
• Coordinate with production teams during go-lives, conversions & BC activities
• Work across mainframe and distributed environments

Required Experience:

• 2–4 years in IT Operations / Mainframe Batch / CA7 scheduling
• Experience with CA7 / BMC / IBM scheduling tools
• Strong understanding of batch processing, JCL basics & performance tuning
• Good analytical, communication & multitasking skills
• Comfortable with 24/7 rotational shifts

This role supports mainframe and distributed production operations by analyzing job performance, creating business metric reports, optimizing batch schedules, and maintaining automation tools. The analyst proactively identifies performance issues, supports new system go-lives, ensures smooth production processing, and assists with Business Continuity activities. The role involves data analysis, predictive modeling, runtime optimization, and coordination with internal teams to maintain stable, efficient production environments.
