Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Operational Assistant – Production to support the overall production lifecycle across leather, textile, R&D, and pattern departments. The ideal candidate must have strong operational understanding, team coordination skills, and hands-on experience managing production from cut to pack. This role requires strong leadership, analytical thinking, and the ability to ensure smooth operations while maintaining quality, timelines, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:1. Production Operations & Department Management
- Support restructuring and performance management of the Leather Department.
- Continuously evaluate the performance, skillset, and efficiency of the production team.
- Oversee textile section operations and collaborate closely with the Senior Production Coordinator.
- Manage the production process from cutting to packing, ensuring quality standards at every stage.
- Monitor daily workflow, departmental smoothness, and adherence to SOPs.
- Ensure health, safety, and cleanliness standards across all production areas.
2. Production Planning, Scheduling & Execution
- Develop and maintain well-organized daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
- Create and execute 3-month production plans aligned with company targets.
- Ensure production scalability, including achieving the goal of 5,000 pcs/month during Development Phase 1.
- Track each step of the production process and ensure strict adherence to applied sheets, quantities, and approved wages.
- Prepare technical sheets and conduct pre-production meetings with teams.
3. Materials, Procurement & Outsourcing Coordination
- Recommend reliable and cost-effective purchasing sources for materials and components.
- Provide timely updates to Operations/PPC Manager regarding material requirements and shortages.
- Manage professional and economical stitching teams on a wage basis.
- Handle outsourcing operations, ensuring best quality at competitive rates.
- Prepare applied cost sheets for samples before outsourcing for optimal negotiation.
4. Pattern & Sample Room Management
- Verify patterns before production and ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Supervise pattern room operations, ensuring complete safety and proper organization of patterns.
- Implement a proper in/out tracking system for patterns.
- Manage the work of the Pattern Master and ensure 99.9% accuracy.
- Oversee the sample room, ensuring safety, accurate tracking, and proper handling of samples.
- Maintain a final sample archive for all private label products.
5. Quality Control & Best Practices Implementation
- Ensure best practices in QC inspections at each stage of the production process.
- Guarantee product safety and quality throughout packing, including correct packing lists.
- Ensure all product tags are accurately attached as per the purchase order.
- Monitor R&D operations and ensure high-quality output.
6. Data Management, Reporting & ERP Implementation
- Implement ERP usage across all production touchpoints and ensure daily updates.
- Develop and maintain a well-organized reporting system for production progress.
- Ensure product master data is accurately maintained in Dropbox.
- Monitor and document production performance, process accuracy, and workflow improvements.
7. Problem-Solving, Team Coordination & Continuous Improvement
- Identify operational issues and deliver quick, effective solutions.
- Implement employee motivation strategies to maintain productivity and dedication.
- Ensure operational smoothness across all departments.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and efficiency upgrades across production functions.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Production Management, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a relevant field.
- 4–5 years of experience in production operations, preferably in leather goods, textiles, or manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of production processes, patterns, R&D, and quality control.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems and production tracking tools.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and multi-tasking abilities.
- Ability to coordinate across multiple departments efficiently.
- Proficiency in reporting, documentation, and operational analysis.
