Operational Excellence Manager

Role Purpose

The Operational Excellence Manager is responsible for driving performance, consistency, and reliability across Facilities Management operations .

This role shifts operations from reactive service delivery to structured, measurable, and continuously improving performance , ensuring services are delivered efficiently, predictably, and in alignment with operational priorities.


Key Responsibilities

Performance Management & KPIs

  • Develop, monitor, and continuously improve operational KPIs across FM services.
  • Establish performance dashboards and reporting structures for management visibility.
  • Ensure KPIs reflect service availability, response effectiveness, and operational impact .

Continuous Improvement

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across operational processes.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for recurring service failures and inefficiencies.
  • Identify systemic gaps and recommend sustainable corrective actions.

Process Standardization

  • Develop, review, and standardize operational procedures and workflows.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of SOPs across zones and disciplines.
  • Reduce variability in service delivery through structured operational controls.

Digital & Data Enablement

  • Support the effective use of CMMS platforms (e.g. Maximo) for performance monitoring.
  • Leverage operational data to drive fact-based decision making.
  • Improve data accuracy, reporting discipline, and performance transparency.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with asset management, maintenance, soft services, and warehouse teams.
  • Align contractor performance with operational excellence objectives.
  • Act as a central coordination point for performance-related initiatives.

Reporting & Management Support

  • Prepare periodic performance reports for senior management.
  • Highlight risks, trends, and improvement opportunities.
  • Provide clear recommendations supported by operational data.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline .
  • 15–20 years of experience in operations, facilities management, or large-scale service environments.
  • Proven experience in performance management and operational improvement.
  • Strong understanding of FM operational models and service delivery frameworks.
  • Experience working in complex, live, high-demand environments .
