Job title: Operations Executive

Job Purpose:
To effectively supervise and facilitate the daily activities and tasks of the assigned personnel/staff in the department. Reports directly to the assistant manager.
Key Responsibilities:

In-charge of creating the weekly / monthly schedule for all staff, assures adequate manpower are distributed for each section.

Distributes work assignments per individual as directed by department manager.

Provides permission for request of overtime of an employee.

Monitors attendance as specified from the provided schedule.

Facilitates the training and developing of newly hired employee as directed by the department manager.
-
Recommends deserving employees for promotion and endorses termination for incompetent individual.

Receives and discusses departmental work instructions from the manager, as such handles down the work scope to operations supervisors.

Finalizes the request of supplies needed for operations.

Checks the correctness and completeness of the departmental reports before submission to the manager.

Provides daily updates and work progress to the manager.
Experience & Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's degree in Transportation / Logistics from a Technical University.
-
At least 2-5 yrs. experience in shipping line or port terminal.

Requires some knowledge of vessel and yard planning systems and ability to use computerized vessel and yard operation software system(s).

Also to be well versed in Windows operating systems.
