Job title: Shift Duty Manager

Job Purpose:
To effectively manage and control productivity as per SLA with shipping lines and to exceed such level when possible in all shifts on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities:

To productively conduct and lead Operations meetings of the Team and make sense out of that activity by resolving issues and ensures that all operations problems are resolved to the satisfaction of all port users.

To function harmoniously with all the port users/clients such as the Shipping Lines, Harbor Pilots, Custom Brokers, Transporters and other Governmental agencies, thereby establishing good business relationship.

To make certain that all Terminal activities are conducted in a professional and safe manner at all times.

To fully control and coordinate the daily allocation of manpower and equipment, making sure that these requirements are sufficient to serve the activities in all the areas in the Terminal.

To routinely observe on-going operations in all areas, to ascertain that established productivity and work procedures as per SOP’s are met and even exceeded, and to initiate appropriate action when standards are not met.
Experience & Qualifications:

At least 2-5 yrs. experience in shipping line or port terminal.

Bachelor's degree in Transportation / Logistics.

Requires some knowledge of vessel and yard planning systems and ability to use computerized vessel and yard operation software system(s).
