Position Summary

The Head of Operations is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of the client’s business operations, including supply chain, fulfillment, retail, customer experience, training, and cross-departmental alignment.

This role is critical to ensuring operational excellence and scalability while maintaining the client’s reputation for luxury and quality. The Head of Operations will manage strategy execution, forecast industry and eCommerce trends, drive process innovation, and act as a key liaison across departments.

The ideal candidate is a strategic, data-driven leader with proven success in operations, retail, and eCommerce. They will bring deep expertise in scaling consumer goods brands, a passion for team development, and the ability to blend analytical rigor with strategic vision.


Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesSupply Chain & Fulfillment

  • Partner with supply chain teams on procurement, vendor relationships, and global sourcing of cosmetic ingredients and packaging.
  • Manage fulfillment center operations, including inventory, order accuracy, shipping, and SLA adherence.
  • Build and enforce SOPs to ensure consistent, high-quality output.

Retail Operations

  • Oversee daily operations of retail boutiques across multiple locations.
  • Ensure in-store teams deliver a luxury client experience aligned with brand standards.
  • Collaborate with Retail Management on merchandising, staffing, and store performance.

Customer Experience & Sales

  • Align customer experience teams with operational processes to deliver timely, empathetic, and brand-consistent service.
  • Implement systems to monitor performance, response times, and resolution efficiency.

Operational Strategy & Leadership

  • Translate company goals into operational roadmaps across departments.
  • Lead cross-functional alignment across fulfillment, customer experience, product enablement, and retail.
  • Monitor KPIs including order fulfillment accuracy, shipping timelines, cost efficiency, and customer retention.
  • Partner with Finance on budgeting and cost-efficiency initiatives.
  • Collaborate with HR on hiring, employee development, and retention strategies.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Recruit, train, and develop operational leaders.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct performance reviews and succession planning.
  • Lead the enablement of product and process knowledge across all operational functions.

Core Competencies (Knowledge, Skills, and Experience)

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
  • 6+ years of experience in senior operations leadership roles in eCommerce and retail.
  • Proven expertise in supply chain, fulfillment, and multi-location retail operations.
  • Strong track record of scaling consumer goods companies, preferably in the beauty or cosmetics industry.
  • Skilled in KPI/OKR-driven management and operational efficiency.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
  • Experience with Shopify, CRM systems, and other retail/eCommerce tools.
  • Strong project management and data interpretation skills.
