The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire production process. The role involves managing production teams, ensuring quality standards, maintaining efficiency, and achieving daily, weekly, and monthly production targets while minimizing costs and waste.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Planning & Management
- Develop and implement effective production schedules .
- Monitor and balance workloads between departments.
- Ensure timely availability of materials and resources to meet production timelines.
2. Process Optimization
- Improve production processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and output.
- Identify bottlenecks and take corrective actions to reduce downtime.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
3. Quality Assurance
- Ensure production meets international quality standards and buyer specifications (ISO 9001 etc)
- Coordinate closely with Quality Control teams for in-process and final inspections.
- Conduct root-cause analysis for recurring quality issues and implement preventive measures.
4. Team Leadership & Supervision
- Lead, motivate, and manage production supervisors, line leaders, and machine operators.
- Conduct training sessions to enhance workforce skills and productivity.
- Enforce discipline, attendance, and safety protocols across all production sections.
5. Coordination & Reporting
- Liaise with Planning, Procurement, Store, and Maintenance departments for smooth operations.
- Ensure proper documentation of production reports, wastage, and rejects.
- Present daily/weekly production performance to senior management.
6. Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to HSE policies and workplace safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized production floor in line with audit and compliance requirements.
Qualification & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial / Mechanical / Textile Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience: 8–10 years
- Skills: Strong leadership, production planning, process improvement, problem-solving, and quality control.
Key Competencies:
- In-depth knowledge of football manufacturing processes and raw materials.
- Excellent communication and team management skills.
- Proficient in MS Excel and ERP-based production reporting systems.
- Hands-on approach with a focus on efficiency, quality, and safety.
