As Operations Manager, you will manage the day-to-day operational planning, execution, and delivery of the MOTN project in Dubai. You ll be the key link between the Operations Director, internal departments, venue teams, and external stakeholders, ensuring the event runs efficiently, safely, and in full compliance with all operational standards. This role demands exceptional organization, leadership, and on-site management skills.
What You ll Do
- Work closely with the Operations Director and related departments on overall planning and execution of the operations scope.
- Serve as the main liaison for venue managers, traffic departments, health & safety, security, ticketing, accreditation, housekeeping, and staffing suppliers.
- Collate a daily zone report and conduct daily morning briefing meetings on behalf of operations.
- Supervise and maintain all operational documentation and files, ensuring updates are organized and accessible internally and externally.
- Oversee the successful implementation of structural, technological, and activation setups across assigned zones.
- Ensure programming across all zones is well-planned and running smoothly.
- Develop and maintain a safe crowd management and visitor journey plan in coordination with the Health & Safety supplier.
- Ensure each zone adheres to health and safety protocols, including fire extinguisher plans, TUV permits, and approved capacity limits.
- Oversee the submission of all staff and vendor documentation for accreditation and ensure all permits and licenses are current and approved.
- Collaborate with security, accreditation, and venue managers to develop zoning and accreditation presentations for authorities and the project team.
- Manage evacuation, contingency plans, and safety policies in collaboration with Health & Safety and Security teams.
- Scope and oversee the production and placement of signage and wayfinding plans with venue managers.
- Ensure timely provision of all operational services (power, cleaning, staffing, structural setups) throughout the zones.
- Work closely with staffing agencies to define staffing needs, schedules, training, briefings, uniforms, and deployment plans.
- Oversee housekeeping and waste management within assigned zones, managing any issues or adjustments with venue managers.
- Coordinate with the security provider to define security setups and dot planning within designated areas.
- Supervise transport, parking, and traffic plans, including VAPPs and scheduling, depending on zone location.
- Collaborate with the Operations Director and vendor leads to produce a comprehensive operations plan for approval.
- Contribute to the Post-Event Evaluation Report alongside the Operations Director.
