Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager – Operations to join our Mumbai team. The ideal candidate should have a strong environmental or botanical background, with 5+ years of experience in managing field operations, leading teams, and executing environmental projects on ground.

This role involves close coordination with the internal project teams, field staff, corporate partners, and government bodies to ensure smooth execution of various Green Yatra initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management:

  • Lead, supervise, and monitor the field operations team for on-ground project execution.
  • Oversee plantation drives, biodiversity, and sustainability projects across Mumbai and nearby regions.
  • Plan, schedule, and manage field activities ensuring quality and timely delivery.
  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and partners for project resources and logistics.
  • Ensure accurate project documentation, data collection, and reporting.

Team & Stakeholder Coordination:

  • Manage and guide field team members, ensuring performance, discipline, and motivation.
  • Liaise with corporate partners, local authorities, and community stakeholders for project alignment.
  • Conduct regular field inspections, assessments, and progress reviews.
  • Provide operational support during corporate CSR events and environmental campaigns.

Reporting & Documentation:

  • Maintain records, reports, and data related to field projects.
  • Prepare monthly progress and impact reports for management review.
  • Ensure adherence to organization and safety protocols.

Requirements:

  • Education: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Botany, Forestry, Ecology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in field operations, environmental project management, or sustainability initiatives.
  • Skills:
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Email communication).
  • Strong understanding of environmental and plantation-related activities.
  • Ability to work on-field and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualities:

  • Passionate about environmental conservation and sustainability.
  • Experience working with NGOs, CSR projects, or government collaborations.
  • Hands-on approach with attention to detail and field performance.
  • Willingness to travel for field visits as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,351.98 - ₹70,727.01 per month
