Job Title: Operations Manager

As the Operations Manager – Fleet Management, you will be responsible for overseeing the

end-to-end fleet operations, ensuring vehicle uptime, optimizing maintenance processes, and

managing the entire fleet team, including supervisors and technicians. The ideal candidate

should have a strong background in fleet operations, people management, and data-driven

decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Coordination

 Lead and mentor a team of supervisors, technicians, and support staff to ensure smooth fleet

operations.

 Establish clear KPIs and performance metrics for the supervisors and technicians to enhance

accountability.

 Conduct regular team meetings to review operational challenges and drive improvements.

 Ensure the team follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for fleet management.

Fleet Operations & Maintenance

 Oversee daily fleet operations, including vehicle allocation, dispatch planning, and maintenance

schedules.

 Ensure timely servicing and repairs to maximize vehicle uptime and reduce downtime.

 Monitor the performance of electric vehicles, including battery health, mileage, and efficiency

metrics.

 Implement a robust preventive maintenance program to extend vehicle life.

Process Optimization & Cost Control

 Identify opportunities to optimize fleet efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service reliability.

 Track fuel and power consumption to optimize charging and energy management strategies.

 Control spare parts inventory and ensure cost-effective procurement.

 Analyze data from fleet management software to improve operational decision-making.

Compliance, Safety & Risk Management

 Ensure all fleet operations comply with regulatory, legal, and safety guidelines.

 Oversee accident and breakdown management, ensuring swift resolution and reporting.

 Implement and enforce safety protocols for drivers, supervisors, and technicians.

 Work closely with insurance providers and authorities for claims and compliance matters.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

 Coordinate with external service providers, spare parts vendors, and third-party maintenance

teams.

 Liaise with internal teams (Customer Support, Recovery, etc.) to ensure seamless operations.

 Manage contracts and negotiations with fleet-related vendors and service partners.

Reporting & Performance Monitoring

 Generate periodic reports on fleet efficiency, maintenance costs, and operational

performance.

 Track key fleet metrics, including downtime, maintenance TAT (Turnaround Time), and

operational costs.

 Implement data-driven strategies to enhance fleet performance.

Key Skills & Qualifications

 Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Logistics, Business Administration, or Engineering.

 5+ years of experience in fleet management, logistics, or operations.

 Prior experience leading teams of supervisors and technicians.

 Strong knowledge of EV technology, vehicle maintenance, and fleet management best

practices.

 Proficiency in fleet management software and data analytics.

 Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

 Ability to manage high-pressure situations and drive operational excellence.

 Strong communication skills in English, Hindi, and Telugu (preferred).

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
