Overview
We’re looking for an Operations Manager who can keep the store running smoothly, lead a small team, and ensure every customer receives exceptional service. The Operations Manager oversees day‑to‑day store operations and leads a team of 3–4 employees. This role is responsible for staff management, inventory logistics, customer service, and operational workflow across the entire store.
Responsibilities
Store Operations
- Oversee daily store functions, ensuring consistent operational efficiency.
- Support smooth coordination across the entire store.
- Maintain store standards, organization, and cleanliness.
Team Leadership
- Manage a team of 3-4 employees, including scheduling, task assignment, and performance support.
- Train staff on store processes, customer service standards, and basic product/alteration knowledge.
- Foster a positive, service-oriented team environment.
Inventory & Vendor Coordination
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate re-stock needs to the purchasing/procurement team.
- Validate incoming deliveries, ensure accurate stocking, and oversee cycle counts.
- Maintain transactional vendor communication (e.g., order status updates, basic product inquiries) and escalate strategic/vendor relationship issues to the appropriate team.
Customer Service
- Serve as the escalation point for customer concerns or complex service issues.
- Ensure exceptional customer experience and consistency across staff interactions.
- Support special orders, alterations timelines, and uniform customization requirements.
Systems & Process Oversight
- Utilize POS and ERP systems for transactions, inventory tracking, and workflow management.
- Monitor and refine operational processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure proper documentation, labeling, and communication for all alteration/service workflows.
Requirements
- Retail management or supervisory experience (uniform, apparel, or service‑based retail a plus).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, POS and ERP systems.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing, tailoring, or alteration shop processes.
- Strong communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
- Ability to problem‑solve and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs as needed.
- Comfortable moving between sales floor, stockroom, and alteration areas.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
