Job Profile
Operations Supervisor – Food Trading will oversee daily operations across warehouse (including the packaging unit), inventory, and logistics to ensure efficient, accurate, and safe handling of goods. The role includes supervising teams, managing stock, coordinating logistics, and implementing process improvements to ensure smooth operations in the food trading business while maintaining UAE food safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Inventory Management:

• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels for all products and raw materials.
• Conduct regular stock audits and reconciliations.
• Ensure proper labeling, storage, rotation, and quality of inventory.
• Verify invoice pricing against signed contract prices.
• Identify and resolve negative stock issues promptly.

2. Warehouse Operations :

• Supervise warehouse operations including loading, unloading, storage, and dispatch of goods.
• Oversee packaging activities as part of warehouse operations, ensuring products are packed accurately, safely, and according to standards.
• Ensure timely picking, packing, and dispatch according to FIFO/LIFO standards.
• Monitor and optimize warehouse and packaging space utilization.
• Manage sales and purchase returns, ensuring proper documentation.
• Coordinate with transport partners and vendors for smooth logistics operations.

3. Process Improvement & Reporting:

• Identify and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency in warehouse, packaging, and logistics.
• Analyze workflows to minimize errors and delays.
• Generate reports on inventory, packaging, shipments, and overall operational performance.

4. Team Leadership & Supervision:

• Lead, train, and mentor warehouse and logistics staff.
• Allocate daily tasks, monitor performance, and provide constructive feedback.
• Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.

5. Quality, Health, Safety & Compliance:

• Enforce adherence to safety regulations, food safety, and food quality standards in all operations.
• Ensure compliance with UAE food safety and food quality standards, as well as company policies.
• Conduct routine safety and quality inspections and report any hazards or non-compliance issues.
• Ensure proper handling of equipment, raw materials, and packaged goods to prevent accidents and maintain product quality and food safety standards.

6. Attendance & Shift Management:

• Manage day and night shift attendance for warehouse and logistics teams.
• Plan shifts to ensure optimal staffing and operational efficiency.

Qualification and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)
• Minimum 3–4 years of overall UAE experience, with at least 2 years in a food trading company
• Strong knowledge of UAE food safety standards and operational compliance
• Hands-on experience with warehouse/inventory management systems
• Proficient in MS Excel and MS Office applications
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Hindi
• Ability to supervise teams, manage multiple tasks, and ensure timely and accurate operations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
