Operator (Rice)

Job Title: Rice Mill Operator

Job Purpose:

To efficiently operate, monitor, and maintain the rice milling machinery to ensure continuous production of high-quality rice, maintaining efficiency, safety, and quality standards as per company requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Machine Operation & Monitoring
• Operate and control rice milling machines including cleaners, huskers, separators, polishers, graders, and sorters.
• Monitor equipment performance and make necessary adjustments for smooth operation.
• Maintain optimal machine settings to achieve quality output and minimize wastage.
• Quality Control
• Inspect rice during and after milling for quality standards (broken ratio, whiteness, moisture, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with production specifications and quality parameters.
• Report any irregularities or product deviations to the supervisor immediately.
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and cleaning of machines.
• Identify mechanical or technical issues and coordinate with maintenance teams for repairs.
• Ensure all equipment is kept in safe and efficient working condition.
• Production Reporting
• Record daily production data including input, output, wastage, downtime, and maintenance activities.
• Report production figures to the Production Supervisor at the end of each shift.
• Safety & Housekeeping
• Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE during operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the mill area.
• Immediately report accidents or unsafe conditions to management.
• Coordination
• Work collaboratively with other operators, helpers, and quality control staff to ensure smooth production flow.
• Support in raw paddy loading, unloading, and storage handling as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Minimum Matric / Intermediate (Technical Diploma preferred).
• Experience: 2–5 years in rice mill operations or similar grain processing environment.
• Technical Skills:
• Knowledge of Satake, Buhler, or local milling machinery operation.
• Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability.
• Understanding of rice grading, polishing, and packaging process.

Working Conditions:

• Shift-based role (day/night rotation as required).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs70,000.00 - Rs90,000.00 per month
