Duties

  • Proven experience in medical office settings with a focus on optometry preferred; clinic experience is highly valued.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology related to the eye, and medical terminology relevant to ophthalmic care.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems such as Epic or similar platforms; proficiency in medical records management is essential.
  • Ability to perform vital signs measurement and basic ophthalmic testing accurately.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Experience with aseptic technique and infection control protocols within clinical environments.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective intake procedures and patient interactions across diverse populations including pediatrics.
  • Retail sales experience beneficial for optical product consultations and lens sales; understanding retail math enhances customer service capabilities.
