Surgical Technician / Oral Surgery Assistant – Weekday Schedule | Competitive Pay

Position Purpose

Join a growing oral and maxillofacial surgery practice as a Surgical Technician/Oral Surgery Assistant. This role supports the surgeon during consultations and procedures while delivering high-quality pre- and post-operative patient care. Ideal for a detail-oriented professional who values teamwork, patient safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the surgeon during procedures; seat patients and take vitals
  • Monitor anesthesia and ensure completion of consents and treatment plans
  • Provide clear pre-operative and post-operative instructions
  • Obtain and track medical clearances
  • Maintain OSHA, HIPAA, and radiation safety standards
  • Take diagnostic radiographs using proper exposure and positioning
  • Accurately document patient care in the EMR
  • Prepare, clean, and maintain surgical instruments and equipment
  • Deliver a calm, professional, and positive patient experience
  • Collaborate effectively with providers and team members
  • Support additional projects as needed

Qualifications

  • CPR Certification (required)
  • Oral & Maxillofacial Assisting or Dental Assistant Certification (preferred)
  • Hepatitis B Vaccination & Titer
  • TB Vaccination & Titer
  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced surgical environment
