About the Role
We are seeking a highly disciplined and detail-oriented Executive – Order Management (Canada) to own the full order lifecycle across all Nysonian brand platforms within the Canadian market. This is a high-ownership operational role responsible for ensuring seamless execution across order processing, returns management, shipping cost control, carrier claims, and 3PL/warehouse coordination. Acting as the regional operations expert, you will drive accuracy, efficiency, and accountability across every touchpoint ensuring orders are fulfilled correctly, returns are resolved promptly, and all shipping-related costs and documentation are tracked and reconciled with precision.
What You Will Do
- End-to-End Order Management: Own daily processing and validation of Canadian e-commerce orders, ensuring accuracy in pricing, taxes (GST/HST/PST), inventory allocation, and order status integrity across OMS/ERP systems.
-
Order Lifecycle Control: Manage post-purchase modifications, backorders, and pre-orders while maintaining real-time data accuracy and coordinating updates with Customer Support.
-
Returns Operations Ownership: Lead the full returns lifecycle—from authorization to resolution—ensuring compliance with Canadian policies, efficient processing, and accurate inventory disposition with 3PL partners.
-
Shipping & Carrier Management: Monitor outbound shipments, manage carrier relationships (Canada Post, UPS, FedEx, etc.), and resolve delivery exceptions, WISMO queries, and proof-of-delivery requirements.
-
Claims & Exception Handling: Initiate and manage carrier claims for lost or damaged shipments, ensuring timely resolution and accurate tracking of claim outcomes.
-
Freight Audit & Cost Control: Review and reconcile shipping invoices, identify discrepancies, maintain rate trackers, and support data-driven carrier performance and cost optimization initiatives.
-
3PL Coordination & Performance Oversight: Act as the primary liaison with warehouse partners, ensuring SLA adherence, inventory accuracy, operational alignment, and resolution of performance or billing variances.
Who You Are
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Operations.
-
Relevant Experience: 2–4 years in e-commerce or D2C operations with hands-on ownership of order management, returns, and shipping workflows, ideally within the Canadian market.
-
Logistics & Carrier Expertise: Working knowledge of Canadian carrier networks (Canada Post, Purolator, UPS, FedEx) and cross-border shipping requirements, including duties and de minimis thresholds.
-
Tax & Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of Canadian tax structures (GST/HST/PST) as applied to e-commerce transactions.
-
Systems Proficiency: Experience with OMS platforms, Shopify, and ERP/WMS systems to manage order and inventory workflows.
-
Data & Analytical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel for reconciliation, reporting, and operational data analysis.
-
Operational Discipline & Communication: High attention to detail in invoice auditing and data accuracy, with strong communication skills for managing external partners and internal stakeholders.
