Oriental Chef

Under the general guidance of the Executive Chef or his delegate, we are looking for an Oriental Chef to oversee procedures, service performance, and product standards, and to direct all aspects of the operation in the Oriental Section.

A little taste of your day-to-day:

Every day is different, but you'll mostly be:

• Planning and supervising production of all cold and hot Oriental dishes, including à la carte orders, buffet preparation, banquet, and outside catering, ensuring they are fresh and properly prepared.
• Ensuring a high level of cleanliness within the Oriental Section by maintaining a hygienic and organized environment suitable for food production.
• Coordinating daily and weekly menus and functions, and determining the type and quantity of mezzeh to prepare.
• Dressing according to Kitchen standard dress code, including chef's jacket, checked trousers, apron, nametag, socks, and safe shoes.
• Maintaining standards of hygiene, sanitation, and safety.

What we need from you:

• The ideal candidate must possess a High School Degree and a Culinary Arts qualification.
• Basic food hygiene certificates.
• At least two years of experience in a similar position, preferably in a five-star hotel.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken; knowledge of other languages such as Arabic is a plus.
• Basic computer skills are appreciated.
