Orthodontic Assistant

We are looking for an Orthodontic assistant to join our team. Our office is very well established and growing, with a great reputation. The position requires someone who is well trained with great communication skills. We are looking for candidates with an enthusiastic and positive attitude who come to work each day with a smile while delivering first class care. The ideal candidate works well with other team members, is friendly, outgoing and well put together. Applicant should be fluent in both written/spoken English.

Position is for 2 offices: South Miami and Palmetto Bay (15 min apart)

Position tasks and skills:

• Friendly, enthusiastic personality
• Able to effectively communicate with patients and parents in a friendly manner
• Deals well with children, teenagers and adults and makes all patients feel comfortable
• Able to correctly implement Orthodontists instructions regarding patient appointments
• Changing wires, adjustment appointments
• Banding and bondings
• Records – photos, X-rays, impressions
• Scanning with iTero
• Adequate note taking * Prepare and arrange needed tools and instruments for scheduled procedures.
• Taking care of the Patient to get ready for ortho treatment.
• And celebrating with patient when they finish Ortho tx * Assisting the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
• Performing office management tasks that often require the use of a personal computer
• Greeting and checking in patients – managing patient flow
• Sterilization

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
