Orthopedic & Pain Management Medical Biller

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Orthopedic & Pain Management Medical Biller with strong knowledge of spine and DME billing. This role is responsible for end-to-end billing functions, including claim submission, prior authorizations, denial management, and payment posting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Submit and manage insurance claims for orthopedic, pain management, and spine services
• Handle DME billing (braces, orthotics, bone growth stimulators, etc.)
• Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and coverage requirements
• Obtain and manage prior authorizations
• Review coding accuracy (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS)
• Follow up on denied, rejected, or unpaid claims
• Post payments and reconcile accounts receivable
• Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and providers
• Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer guidelines
• Assist with appeals and denial resolution

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of medical billing experience (orthopedics and/or pain management required)
• Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
• Experience with DME billing and prior authorizations
• Familiarity with spine procedures preferred
• Experience with EHR/Practice Management systems
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPC, CPB, or similar certification
• Experience with appeals and denial management
• Knowledge of Medicare and commercial payer policies

Pay: $25.27 - $30.43 per hour
