The Outlet Chef is responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations within a specific outlet or restaurant, ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene. This role involves menu planning, staff supervision, inventory management, and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations. The Outlet Chef works closely with the Executive Chef to maintain the outlet’s culinary standards and enhance guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Kitchen Management:
- Supervise, train, and motivate kitchen staff.
- Ensure efficient workflow and coordination among the team.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety.
- Food Preparation & Quality Control:
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to the outlet’s menu and quality standards.
- Ensure consistency in taste, portion, and presentation.
- Innovate and update menu items in collaboration with the Executive Chef.
- Inventory & Cost Management:
- Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and manage wastage.
- Control food costs and contribute to budget management.
- Implement portion control and optimize kitchen efficiency.
- Guest Experience:
- Handle guest feedback and ensure a positive dining experience.
- Work with the service team to ensure smooth operations during service hours.
- Compliance & Standards:
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Ensure kitchen equipment is properly maintained and functioning.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience as a chef, preferably in a similar outlet or hotel setting.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of food hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Creativity in menu design and presentation.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
