Outside Sales Representative - Scrap Metal Buyer

Absco Metals is looking for a Scrap Metal Buyer to join our team in Philadelphia, PA.

Job Description: Responsible for prospecting, developing, and managing new client relationships focused on demolition and industrial manufacturing/fabrication. Major duties include cold calling, buying from new accounts, renewing accounts, and providing superior customer service.

Education & Experience: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). A Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Minimum 1 year sales experience. Preferred sales background in construction-related or manufacturing-related field with an existing relationships in demolition and/or manufacturing & fabrication.

Working Conditions: Majority of the time, you will be working in the field visiting prospects/clients. Occasional networking events in the evenings and conferences that are out of town.

Additional Skills: Proficiency in software skills such as Outlook, Excel, and CRM tools. Continued focus on professional sales skills development. Able to find and recognize buying opportunities, and effectively close on a deal. Well organized and able to handle multiple tasks at once. High level of energy and self-motivation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
