The Packing Line Operator is responsible for the packaging of finished electronic products, ensuring they are properly packed for shipping and distribution. This role involves following detailed packaging procedures, maintaining quality standards, and meeting production targets. The Packing Line Operator works under the supervision of the Testing & Packing Line Leader to ensure smooth and efficient packing operations.
Responsibilities
1. Packaging Operations

Perform packaging tasks as assigned, following detailed work instructions and packaging procedures.

Pack finished electronic products into appropriate packaging materials, such as boxes, bags, or protective enclosures.

Ensure accurate labelling and documentation of packaged products.

Operate packing machinery and equipment, including automated packing systems, sealing machines, and label printers.
2. Quality Control

Inspect packed products to ensure they meet quality standards and packaging specifications.

Conduct in-process inspections and quality checks to ensure packaging integrity.

Identify and report any packaging defects or quality issues to the Testing & Packing Line Leader.

Collaborate with the quality assurance team to implement corrective actions and improvements.
3. Production Execution

Follow production schedules and work orders to complete packaging tasks on time.

Ensure packaging runs are completed according to specifications and quality standards.

Maintain a clean and organized work area to support efficient packaging operations.

Monitor packaging progress and report any issues or delays to the Testing & Packing Line Leader.
4. Equipment Operation and Maintenance

Set up and operate packaging equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.

Perform routine maintenance on packaging equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime.

Troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment issues, such as jams or misalignments.

Coordinate with the maintenance team for more complex repairs and preventive maintenance.
5. Material Handling

Manage the handling and storage of packaging materials and supplies.

Ensure the availability of necessary packaging materials for production runs.

Follow proper inventory control procedures to prevent shortages or excesses.

Handle materials in accordance with ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protection guidelines when necessary.
6. Documentation and Reporting

Maintain accurate packaging records, including product counts, packaging materials used, and quality data.

Prepare and submit daily packaging reports to the Testing & Packing Line Leader.
Qualifications
Educational Background

High school diploma or equivalent.

Technical certification or associate degree in manufacturing, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
Professional Experience
-
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in packaging operations in a manufacturing environment.

Experience in the microelectronics industry is highly preferred.
Technical Skills

Experience with specific packaging equipment brands and models used in the company.

Understanding of electronic product packaging and protection processes.

Familiarity with automated packaging systems and software.

Knowledge of ESD protection and handling practices when necessary.
