Paint Shop Team Leader

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Paint Shop Team Leader to oversee daily operations in our paint department.

The ideal candidate will ensure high-quality finishing, efficient workflow, and team productivity while maintaining safety and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and lead paint shop technicians and helpers

Ensure all painting jobs meet quality standards and client expectations

Manage job allocation and workflow within the paint shop

Monitor preparation, masking, spraying, and finishing processes

Inspect completed work and handle quality control

Maintain paint booth, tools, and equipment in optimal condition

Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations

Train and guide team members to improve performance and skills

Coordinate with service advisors and management for job updates

Requirements:

Proven experience in automotive painting 10+ years

Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role

Strong knowledge of paint systems, color matching, and finishing

Ability to manage a team and meet deadlines

Attention to detail and commitment to quality

Good communication and leadership skills
