Painter

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter to join our hotel maintenance team. The ideal candidate will maintain and enhance the appearance of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities through high-quality painting and finishing work. Attention to detail, efficiency, and professionalism are essential to uphold the hotel’s standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesPainting & Finishing

• Prepare surfaces (walls, ceilings, doors, furniture, and fixtures) for painting, including sanding, filling, and priming.
• Apply paint, varnish, and coatings evenly using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
• Ensure smooth, clean, and consistent finishes on all surfaces.
• Match colours accurately and touch up any defects or damage.
• Apply protective coatings where required.

Maintenance & Repairs

• Inspect surfaces regularly for signs of wear, damage, or deterioration.
• Repair minor wall damages, cracks, and scratches before painting.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure timely completion of painting projects.
• Maintain and store painting tools and materials properly.

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Follow all health and safety guidelines, including proper use of ladders, scaffolding, and PPE.
• Dispose of paint, solvents, and waste according to environmental and hotel regulations.
• Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to the supervisor.

Teamwork & Communication

• Coordinate with the Engineering/Maintenance team and other hotel departments for painting schedules.
• Communicate progress, delays, and requirements clearly to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Ensure minimal disruption to hotel operations and guest experience.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Painter in a hotel, residential, or commercial environment.
• Knowledge of various painting techniques, coatings, and surface preparation.
• Ability to mix and match paint colours accurately.
• Familiarity with painting tools and equipment (brushes, rollers, sprayers, sanders).
• Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality finishes.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Understanding of health, safety, and environmental standards.
