Job Description
- Perform painting, coating, and finishing work for buildings and facility areas as part of the maintenance team.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, scraping, sanding, filling gaps, and repairing imperfections before applying paint.
- Apply primers, sealers, and finishing coats on walls, ceilings, doors, windows, metal, and wooden surfaces.
- Mix and adjust paint colors to match required shades and finishes.
- Use brushes, rollers, and spray equipment to achieve consistent, high-quality paint finishes.
- Carry out touch-up work and repaint damaged, faded, or worn-out areas as needed.
- Assist with minor plastering, patching, and surface preparation tasks prior to painting.
- Maintain all painting tools, materials, and equipment in proper working condition.
- Ensure work areas are kept clean, safe, and organized throughout and after tasks.
- Follow safety procedures and use appropriate PPE when handling paint, thinners, and chemicals.
- Collaborate with other maintenance technicians to complete assigned tasks efficiently and on schedule.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or technical certificate in painting, finishing, or a related trade.
- 3–5 years of experience in building painting and maintenance works.
- Strong knowledge of surface preparation techniques, paint types, and application tools.
- Ability to blend and match colors accurately with neat, uniform application.
- Basic skills in plastering, patch repair, and finishing work.
- GCC experience is an added advantage.
