Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces across residential projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces, enhance aesthetics, and ensure quality craftsmanship. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse sites and contribute to high-quality renovation and new construction projects.

Duties

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
• Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and specialty coatings using brushes, rollers, spray equipment (including airless paint sprayers), and other hand or power tools
• Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately determine project scope and specifications
• Perform detailed trim carpentry, framing, stucco application, masonry work, and fixture installation as needed for comprehensive surface finishing
• Conduct restoration work on older structures by matching colors using color theory principles and performing surface repairs such as plastering or masonry
• Operate construction tools including hand tools (e.g., scrapers, putty knives), power tools (e.g., drills, sanders), welding equipment when necessary for repairs or modifications
• Assist with renovation projects by performing demolition, framing, drywall installation, concrete finishing, and maintenance tasks on-site
• Ensure safety standards are maintained at all times by following proper procedures for working at heights or with hazardous materials such as industrial paints or stucco mixes
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used; communicate progress with supervisors regularly

Experience

• Proven experience in residential painting with a solid understanding of color theory, finishing techniques and surface preparation.
• Familiarity with construction estimating processes to assist in project planning and material procurement
• Knowledge of construction site safety protocols along with experience working on active construction or renovation sites
• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools (including airless sprayers), scaffolding setup, and fixture installation methods
• Prior handyman experience or general maintenance skills that support multi-trade tasks are advantageous

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
