POSITION PURPOSE


To perform the Painting and wall paper covering tasks to the allotted room quota and the weekly quota for public areas. To assist with other maintenance work as directed. To perform all requests and work orders related to painting.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


Performs painting work according to requirements. Maintains floors, carpets and upholsters furniture covered and protected during the painting. Responsible for working the required work orders and requests, for ensuring those areas are left in a safe and perfect operational condition and for the proper use and security of all humans & equipment.



SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES


Revenues, profits, cost effectiveness and ROI:

To manage effectively the spare paints and wall paper control system as well as to get the best products which suites our standards and the highest quality without affecting our cost management.

To maintain the equipment and tools in good order and to maintain all stores organized and keeps the workshop clean, tidy and properly stocked.

Initiates orders for supplies for workshop and maintain records of work completed.


Management of human resources:

To show the interest in learning all available new and latest products related to our values and brand standards and to be able to apply that in our hotel.

To share in the implementation of the training programs that will result in better productivity and better work environment.

To attend the conducted technical trainings, and to assure of the correct implementation.

Cooperates with and assists other tradesmen as directed.

To conduct himself in a manner as to encourage fellow employees to do likewise.

To be always efficient, courteous and pleasant and to show at all times a helpful attitude and never to talk in a loud voice to other employees.


Upkeep physical plants and building:

To paint ceilings, walls and furniture as requested by Ken Fixit. To hang and repair wall papers and fabrics as requested.

To stencil Signs as required. To paint equipment and pipe work as and when required. To paint floors as and when required. To prepare surfaces of all furniture and repaint or to original finish. To prepare and make good with filler all surfaces painting.

Complete the paint tasks to the allotted daily quota of guest rooms and the weekly rote of public areas.

To maintain all company’s tools in good working order.

To repair and fix any damaged painting for ceiling and gypsum boards as required.

To submit reports to the Assistant Director of Engineering on the condition of the building and the furniture. (Timely / accurately)

To share in creation (and implementation) of sustainability plans matching with the overall Environmental policy of the hotel and 30/20 plan of Marriott International.

To have the interest on searching all the resources for getting the newest products supportive to our sustainability policy.

To show the interest to not only participates in the community occasions but sharing in creation the events.


Safety and security:

Works in a safe manner concerning guests, employees, self, equipment and property.

To use PPE all the time as per safety requirements.

Follow up with daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually control measure actions on the scheduled time.

To be able to apply the control measures of the risk assessments for the various areas and operation.

To be part in implementation of fire prevention and evacuation procedure for guest and staff.
