Painting Engineer

Reports to Asst. Quality Manager / Quality Manager
Accountable to Overall responsibility for execution of the job from Painting process till the

dispatch.

Job Purpose To organize and control the painting activity within Camtech to ensure safe,
efficient and effective operation and that all products are produced efficiently, on
time, and as per standard like ASME B16.34, API 6D, API 6A, API 600, BS
1873, BS 1868, API 608, API 602, API 598, etc. and in
line with the requirements of the Quality Management System such as API Q1,
ISO 9001, PED 2014/68/EU, ATEX 2014/34/EU, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
Responsible for Overall coordination of painting process, health and safety, quality, training,

and continuous improvement activities within the process areas.

Primary Duties and
Responsibilities

1) Establishes manufacturing routings, Painting loads, and new painting
techniques.
2) Establishes the processes and routings to handle discrepant material, and
internal jobs to be reworked.
3) Studies and records time, motion, methods and speed involved in
performance of production and other worker operations to establish standard
production rates and to improve efficiencies.
4) Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs for
management decisions
5) Prepare painting plan and final dispatch plan for the week along with Sr.
Production Engineer.
6) To ensure that the activities carried out in the shop are as per the required
procedure, drawings and ITP.
7) To co-ordinate with stores department to check the stock and issue of the
material for painting.
8) To credit back the finished goods to stores.
9) Selects the most appropriate techniques and logical sequence of
activities to complete project scope
10) Inputs the work breakdown structure information in means to assess an
accurate forecast on time of the project.
11) Sets up alerts for all important contractual and milestone dates
12) Verifies critical path and interfaces between Sales/Quality/production
department.
13) Updates the schedule based on inputs received from project team
14) At all times, comply with company policies, Company Manual,
procedure, and instructions.
15) Co-ordinate with Quality control Dept for material inspection during each
stage of manufacturing and further activity till final dispatch.
16) Guide the subordinates and identify the training needs for further
improvements and arrange for the outside training if required.

Decision Making
Authority

The job holder shall not be responsible for any decision making in the shop floor
activities of the manufacturing and shall consult with the Sr. production Engineer
or Production Manager for any issues.
These are illustrative duties and the post holder will be expected to become involved
in a range of work to enable the department to respond effectively to the
requirements of the Company.

Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
