Hamilton MillerBirthisel LLP, a premier Florida insurance defense trial law firm, seeks experienced Paralegals to join our statewide litigation defense practice in the areas of Commercial Litigation, InsuranceMedical Malpractice Defense, and Personal Injury Defense.

Responsibilities:

• Locate and contact factual witnesses.
• Draft witness and exhibit lists.
• Organize and maintain accurate case documentation.
• Identify and coordinate with experts; assist in preparing hearing and trial notebooks; provide trial support.
• Conduct initial case investigations, gather facts, draft pleadings, and prepare discovery documents (interrogatories, requests for production).

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of Paralegal experience working in a Law Firm or similar legal environment preferred.
• Experience working in the areas of Commercial litigation, Personal Injury Defense, Insurance and/or Medical Malpractice ideal.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, able to multitask, and a strong team player.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
• Familiarity with state and federal court rules.
• Ability to follow client billing guidelines and manage billing entries.
