Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Estate Planning Paralegal to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. You will play a critical role in supporting attorneys with drafting estate planning documents, managing client files, and ensuring a smooth client experience from intake through execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, edit, and finalize estate planning documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance healthcare directives.
  • Prepare probate documents for filing with the court, including petitions, notices, inventories, and accountings.
  • Manage the full probate administration process, from opening estates to final distribution and closing.
  • Communicate with clients, beneficiaries, court personnel, financial institutions, and other stakeholders throughout estate and probate matters.
  • Assist with trust administration, including notice letters, asset collection, and funding of trusts.
  • Conduct client intakes and maintain ongoing communication throughout the process.
  • Prepare asset spreadsheets and organize financial documents.
  • Coordinate signing appointments and notarizations.
  • Maintain and update case management systems and client records.
  • Support attorneys in probate and trust administration matters as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in estate planning or probate law.
  • Strong knowledge of estate planning concepts, terminology, and documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with legal document management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High level of discretion and professionalism when dealing with sensitive client information.
  • Notary Public (preferred but not required).
  • Paralegal certificate or relevant education a plus.
