Paralegal - Trade Transaction Management

A financial services firm in New York City is seeking a Paralegal for a great Remote opportunity with their Legal Department. In this role, the Paralegal will be responsible for supporting the firm's derivatives business.

About the Opportunity:

• Start Date: ASAP
• Assignment Length: 6+ months
• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Hours: 9am to 5pm (40-hour work; EST)
• Setting: Remote

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate the review and exchange of documentation both with internal attorneys and external counsel
• Review and develop procedures as needed to improve the documentation process
• Manage the correspondence between clients, front office, advisors, brokers, and external counsel associated with the review and processing of collateral assignment agreements
• Track the progress of such agreements, managing the flow of new agreements requested for review, and ensuring the documentation received from all parties is complete at execution.
• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• 3+ years minimum experience as a Paralegal working with Law firms or Financial Services companies supporting the Legal teams and documentation
• Bachelor's Degree
• Paralegal certification
• Ability to manage a high volume of transactions with competing deadlines
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized

Desired Skills:

• Familiarity with the Collateral assignment agreements and Derivative Transactions
