Paramedic/Firefighter

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Firefighter/Paramedic to join our team. This role is critical in providing emergency response services, including fire suppression, rescue operations, and medical assistance. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to public safety and have the ability to work effectively under pressure in various emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency calls for fire and medical assistance.
• Perform fire suppression duties, including extinguishing fires and conducting rescue operations.
• Administer advanced life support and basic life support techniques, including CPR and first aid.
• Assess patients' vital signs and provide appropriate medical care based on established protocols.
• Operate emergency vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
• Maintain equipment and apparatus in good working condition through regular inspections and maintenance.
• Participate in training exercises to enhance skills in firefighting, rescue techniques, and emergency medical services.
• Engage with the community through educational programs on fire safety and prevention.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Firefighter I/II and NREMT Paramedic or Georgia Paramedic is required.
• Proficiency in administering CPR and first aid; certification must be current.
• Strong mechanical knowledge for the operation of firefighting equipment.
• Ability to lift heavy objects as required during rescue operations or equipment handling.
• Valid class F, GA driver's license within two years of hire
• Demonstrated ability to assess vital signs accurately and respond appropriately in emergencies.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Must be physically fit to perform strenuous activities associated with firefighting and emergency medical services.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $51,168.00 - $60,000.00 per year
