We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Bookkeeper and Administrative Assistant. This position requires a combination of accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and strong administrative skills.
Requirements:
Job Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, business administration, or equivalent business experience.
Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting. Previous experience in an administrative assistant role is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with payroll processing. Familiarity with office equipment and software. Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Skills:
· Proficient in accounting software
· Strong knowledge of basic bookkeeping principles.
· Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
· Strong communications and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well with people at all levels of the organization.
· Well-developed problem identification and problem-solving skills, with an orientation to details.
Bookkeeping Duties:
*Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accounting software including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
*Process and reconcile bank and credit card statements on a regular basis.
*Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
*Monitor and manage invoices, payments, and billing inquiries.
*Work with external accountants or auditors during year-end audits or other financial reviews.
Administrative Support Duties:
*Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and direct inquiries to appropriate team members.
*Maintain and organize office files, both digital and physical.
*Manage the renewal and audit process for insurance policies.
*Schedule meetings, manage conference registrations, calendars, and assist with travel arrangements. ? Support senior leadership in various administrative tasks as needed
Physical and Mental Efforts:
General: Position requires the ability to concentrate on details despite occasional interruptions and to attend to tasks for 45 to 60 minutes at a time. Ability to understand theories behind related concepts and to remember multiple tasks given to self and others over periods of time; ability to prioritize given shifting priorities; ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form.
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
