Part-Time Architectural Draftsman (Interior Fit-Out)

Dubai – Monthly Contract (Part-Time)

Beyond Modern Design is looking for a part-time Architectural Draftsman to support the preparation of interior design and fit-out drawing packages for commercial projects.

The draftsman will work closely with our Senior Architect and Interior Designer to produce technical drawings required for client presentations, landlord submissions, and tender documentation.

This role is suitable for a draftsman who is experienced in AutoCAD production drawings for interior fit-out projects in Dubai.

Responsibilities

The draftsman will assist in preparing architectural and interior drawings including:

Architectural Drawings

• Existing Layout Plans
• Proposed Layout Plans
• Partition Layout Plans
• Furniture Layout Plans
• Floor Finish Plans
• Wall Finish Plans
• Reflected Ceiling Plans (RCP)
• Door & Window Schedules

Interior Design Drawings

• Joinery Layout Plans
• Interior Elevations
• Interior Sections
• Sanitary Layout Plans
• Signage Layout Plans

Shopfront & Tenant Drawings

• Shopfront Elevations
• Shopfront Sections
• Signage Fixing Details

Coordination Drawings

• Ceiling coordination with lighting and AC diffusers
• Basic coordination with MEP layouts

The draftsman will develop drawings based on markups provided by the Senior Architect and Interior Designer.

Software Requirements

Applicants must be proficient in:

• AutoCAD (mandatory)
• Adobe PDF / Bluebeam for drawing markups
• Basic knowledge of Revit is an advantage

Experience Required

Applicants should have:

Minimum 4–6 years of experience in architectural drafting.

Experience must include:

• Interior design drawing packages
• Commercial fit-out projects (offices, clinics, retail)
• Preparation of drawings for Dubai landlord or authority submissions

Candidates with experience working on clinic or medical fit-out projects will be highly preferred.

Technical Knowledge Required

The draftsman must understand:

• Interior construction detailing
• Partition systems (gypsum / block walls)
• Ceiling systems (gypsum / grid ceiling)
• Joinery drawing preparation
• Finish schedules
• Basic MEP coordination

Work Arrangement

• Part-time monthly contract
• Work may be remote or office-based
• Daily coordination with Senior Architect required
• Availability for quick revisions during drawing stages

Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone who:

• Works fast and accurately
• Can follow markups and instructions clearly
• Is familiar with Dubai fit-out standards
• Can deliver drawings within tight timelines
