Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Part-Time Bookkeeper / Accounting / Finance professional to join our team. Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including data entry and transaction recording using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or Quicken
• Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data
• Prepare and process journal entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable transactions in compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to verify financial accuracy
• Assist with payroll processing and tax-related activities, ensuring timely submissions and compliance with governmental regulations
• Generate detailed financial reports, including income statements, cash flow statements, and budget reports for management review
• Support budgeting processes and provide insights into financial concepts relevant to organizational goals

Qualifications

• Proven experience with bookkeeping, accounting software (such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage), and general ledger accounting
• Strong understanding of GAAP standards, double-entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and journal entries
• Knowledge of governmental accounting practices and non-profit accounting is a plus
• Familiarity with bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll processing
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to perform 10 key typing accurately under time constraints
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare clear financial reports
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
• Prior experience in public accounting or corporate accounting environments is highly desirable
