Part-Time Design Architect – Goodland Pickleball (Hybrid)

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented design architect to join the Goodland Pickleball team on a part-time basis. In this hybrid role, you will help us shape the ultimate player experience by designing dynamic pickleball facilities, inviting clubhouses, and engaging community spaces. This position offers flexibility while allowing you to leave your mark on the fast-growing world of pickleball infrastructure.

Duties

• Design State-of-the-Art Spaces: Develop and refine architectural designs, sketches, and plans for premium indoor/outdoor pickleball courts, viewing areas, and pro shops.
• Optimize the Player Experience: Collaborate with team members to create spatial layouts that prioritize player flow, optimal lighting, and acoustic management.
• Draft & Present: Prepare compelling presentations, detailed drawings, and comprehensive design documentation for new Goodland locations and facility upgrades.
• Ensure Compliance: Ensure all designs meet client needs, local building codes, sustainability standards, and official sport-specific dimensional requirements.

Skills

• Proficiency in project scheduling software to coordinate multiple project timelines effectively
• Strong expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino 3D (Rhinoceros 3D), Grasshopper 3D, ArchiCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite for drafting and visualization
• Experience with construction estimating tools to develop accurate budgets and cost analyses
• Knowledge of construction management practices including contracts administration and site supervision
• Skilled in negotiation to facilitate agreements with clients, contractors, suppliers, and consultants
• Familiarity with Bluebeam for digital document review and collaboration workflows
• Ability to manage complex projects from conception through completion while maintaining attention to detail
• Understanding of interior design principles relevant to sports facilities such as lighting, acoustics, flooring options, and spectator amenities
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across multidisciplinary teams
• Experience with renovation projects as well as new construction within the sports or recreational sector

Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
