CDSG is a Texas-based design, sourcing, and product development woman owned company serving leading national retailers and growing lifestyle brands.

CDSG is looking for a motivated and creative Fashion Design Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. This remote position supports the design and development of women's, men's, and youth apparel collections.

This opportunity is ideal for a recent college graduate with a degree in Fashion Design or a related field who is looking to gain hands-on experience in the fashion industry while working from a home office.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design development for Women’s, Mens and juniors/young contemporary apparel, and children’s apparel collections
• Create CADs, technical sketches, and fashion presentations materials using Adobe Illustrator
• Develop and update tech packs and product specifications
• Research fashion trends, fabrics, colors, market analysis, and competitive shopping
• Assist with fabric, trim, color, and product development
• Organize design files, samples, and project information
• Support sample management, development tracking, and fit preparation
• Prepare design boards, line sheets, and customer presentations
• Organize and maintain design files and seasonal development materials
• Communicate with vendors, factories, and internal team members as needed
• Assist with special projects across both private-label and branded businesses

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, Apparel Design, or a related field. 1–4 years of design experience
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Experience creating CADs and technical sketches.
• Knowledge of Canva, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace applications.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Passion for fashion and attention to detail.

Schedule & Location

• 20- 30 hrs per week - Freelance - Contract / Part-Time
• Work Location - In Office & Remote

Compensation

• Competitive hourly rate based on experience
• $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
