Part-Time Jewelry Operations Manager

Location: In-Person, New York City (Upper East Side)

Type: Part-Time / Contract (1099), 20 hours/week minimum to start (must be spread across all five weekdays) with opportunity to become a full-time 1099 position

We operate as a small, hands-on, home-based business and are seeking a highly organized, proactive individual to support daily operations, content creation, and event execution across our business ventures.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Part-Time Operations, Content & Events Assistant to support a social enterprise jewelry business as well as related home-based ventures. This is a dynamic, in-person role ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative, and is excited to grow with a small but fast-moving brand that engages with over 1,000 nonprofits.

This position has the goal of transitioning into a full-time role for the right candidate. Must be able to prioritize and multitask.

Broad Spectrum Exposure to all Facets of Philanthropic Jewelry Business Including:

Production, Brand Development & Sales

• Work directly with the Designer/Owner, collaborating with artisans in NYC and abroad, as well as outside suppliers and vendors

• Take ideas from concept to execution, managing all stages of development and production

• Manage production and quality control in the Diamond District

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, customers, vendors, and nonprofits

• Contribute to marketing strategies and budget planning

• Identify opportunities for trunk shows locally and nationally

Content Creation & Social Media

• Assist with content creation and social media management across major platforms

• Support product photography using an in-house professional camera and lightbox

• Perform image touch-ups using Canva and Photoshop / Adobe Suite as needed

• Maintain visual consistency, brand messaging, and aesthetics across all channels

Events & Special Projects

• Assist with planning, preparation, and execution of events, including:

• Nonprofit and fundraising events

• Educational events (salons, book parties)

• Jewelry trunk shows

• Seated dinners and cocktail gatherings

• Provide on-site support during events

• Assist with display setup, inventory preparation, and breakdown

E-Commerce, Operations & Administration

• Support Shopify and related e-commerce backend operations

• Oversee order fulfillment, packaging, and shipping

• Manage inventory-related tasks

Qualifications

Required / Core Skills

• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through

• Strong time management and multitasking abilities

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Flexible and willing to learn

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

• Artistic sensibility and strong visual judgment

• Experience with Shopify and/or Shopify POS

• Strong knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest)

• Experience with Canva; Photoshop / Adobe Suite

• Comfortable operating a professional camera (one provided)

• Comfortable pitching ideas and engaging with customers or event guests

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (certifications, project management, or industry experience)

• Willingness to travel occasionally for out-of-state events with advance notice

• Familiarity with CAD software
