Part-Time Nanny for Baby in Punta Gorda [MG1]

Schedule: Monday-Friday 4-5 hr Shifts (ex. 12:00-5:00pm or 1:00-5:00 pm)

A busy family of 3 is looking for a part-time nanny for their 9 month-old baby. Their ideal candidate will be reliable and committed long-term, enthusiastic about childcare, and have a strong knowledge of child development. Daily responsibilities include typical baby care (diapering, feeding, nap times, etc.), creating enriching activities, reading books, and meal prepping/household chores when time allows. The schedule is flexible for 4 or 5 hour shifts 4-5 times a week, the family is flexible with times and days!

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor the daily activities of baby, ensuring their safety at all times
• Plan and prepare bottles/meals and snacks
• Engage the baby in age-appropriate educational activities and creative play
• Maintain a clean and organized environment for the baby, including tidying the baby’s areas and household chores during downtimes
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding the baby’s progress, behavior, and milestones

Qualifications

• 5+ years proven experience as a nanny, childcare provider, or similar role
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start date)
• Preference will be given to candidates with an educational background and experience
• A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a safe driving record
• Excellent communication skills and a nurturing, patient demeanor
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
• Knowledge of child development milestones and age-appropriate activities

*All candidates must undergo and pass a background and driving history check, no secondhand smoke and provide at least three professional childcare references (one can be a character reference if needed)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
