Part-Time Social Media Director (Fractional)

ABOUT US

Genuine Ginger is a boutique social media agency managing organic social media marketing for 15+ CPG food, beverage, and wellness brands. Our team is lean and creative, and we need a senior voice to help us keep the quality bar high across all accounts.

THE ROLE

We're looking for an experienced social media leader to work behind the scenes — reviewing captions, shaping monthly content strategy, and elevating our team's output across all 15 clients. You won't be on client calls, at least to start. You'll work directly with our agency lead and a team of 5 specialists and creators.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

•     Review and support caption edits across around 15 client accounts with a sharp eye for individual brand voice and tone

•     Contribute to monthly content planning — trending formats, hooks, text overlays, and campaign concepts

•     Give direct, constructive feedback to our creative teams to elevate their work

•     Stay ahead of what's happening on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts and bring relevant, actionable insights to the team

•     Help streamline procedures and build SOPs as we continue to grow

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

•     5+ years in social media management, ideally at an agency juggling multiple clients

•     Strong copywriter

•     CPG food, wellness, or lifestyle brand experience is a significant plus

•     Self-directed and reliable, you don't need hand-holding to do great work

•     Choosing fractional work intentionally, not as a gap between full-time roles

DETAILS

•     20+ hours per week, flexible scheduling

•     $40–50/hr depending on experience

•     San Clemente, CA preferred for occasional in-person time — open to remote for the right person

•     Contract (1099), ongoing with room to grow
