What is the job?

Our Parts Manager Manages and oversees the operations of the Parts Department to maximize efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and profitability. Accountable for meeting the department’s financial objectives, including revenue targets and profit margins for both internal and external customers. Ensures accurate inventory control for both the parts warehouse and service vehicles. Provides strategic direction for the department and actively seeks opportunities to grow the sales base and expand market reach.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide clear direction to the Parts Department, develop team members, and ensure accountability for performance and results.
  • Source and procure parts at competitive pricing to meet operational needs while ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain accurate records of all parts, track warranty items, and process returns promptly to recover costs and minimize loss.
  • Oversee receiving, shipping, stocking, and conducting regular cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory levels and reduce discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to provide parts expertise, accurate pricing, and timely availability to support residential customer needs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and customers to ensure reliable supply chains and excellent service.
  • Develop and implement efficient procedures for parts handling, inventory control, and departmental operations to maximize profitability.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs), prepare reports on inventory accuracy and financial performance, and communicate results to leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or minimum 5 years of industry related and similar work experience, including supervising employees
  • Must have demonstrated track record for managing highly effective teams and be able to bring new ideas to the team
  • Profit & loss (P&L) experience
  • Excellent employee and customer relations skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency meeting growth initiatives and delivering bottom line results
  • Strategic thinker with proven ability to lead, coach and mentor
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office product and ability to conduct internet research
  • Possess and maintain a valid CA Driver License as position is required to travel between offices and customer locations
  • Ability to meet deadlines and make critical decisions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Flexible team player; must be available to travel when necessary – about 10% of the time

This position involves a balance of office work and activity within the warehouse and parts areas. It may occasionally require climbing ladders, working outdoors, or handling moderate noise and vibration. Regular lifting of up to 50 lbs and occasional lifting of up to 100 lbs is required.

As a BCEW team member, you will enjoy a total compensation package that includes competitive pay and benefits.

  • Competitive Salary Rate: Pay range for this role is $80,000 - $95,000, dependent upon experience
