Parts Manager - Mercedes-Benz

Job Purpose

Responsible for managing the Parts and Accessories department by ensuring availability, efficiency, and profitability. Oversees procurement, sales, logistics, customer care, and staff development while maintaining compliance with legal and manufacturer standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Parts & Logistics Management
  • Oversee procurement, inventory, and sales processes to ensure cost-efficiency and high service quality.
  • Monitor performance indicators, analyze key figures, and implement corrective measures to achieve sales and profit targets.
  • Ensure legal and manufacturer compliance in stocktaking, occupational safety, and environmental standards.
  • Manage complaint processes, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Market & Sales Development
  • Develop and implement parts sales and marketing strategies in coordination with After-Sales, Service, and Car Sales departments.
  • Drive customer acquisition, retention, and satisfaction through marketing initiatives and customer-focused service.
  • Maintain key customer and supplier relationships, including negotiations on pricing, conditions, and contracts.
  • Staff Management
  • Recruit, train, and develop staff, ensuring compliance with corporate and manufacturer training standards.
  • Lead by example, promote a culture of cooperation, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Set clear goals, evaluate performance, and build succession planning within the department.
  • Process & Quality Assurance
  • Implement quality targets and continuous process improvements.
  • Maintain optimal stock levels and ensure efficient warehouse and display management.
  • Drive initiatives to improve customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.


Qualifications:

  • Training in logistics (automotive sector preferred); degree in Business/Logistics a plus.
  • Several years’ experience in parts sales & logistics (Mercedes-Benz experience preferred).
  • Proven leadership, customer service, and supplier management skills.
  • Knowledge of inventory, procurement, and sales processes.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and logistics/parts IT systems.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
