Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Parts Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, sourcing parts, and supporting various aspects of supply chain and procurement processes. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive and industrial parts, excellent customer service skills, and proficiency with inventory management systems. The Parts Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of our warehouse and service departments, contributing to efficient automotive diagnostics, repair, and manufacturing activities.

Duties

  • Manage inventory levels using ERP systems and order management software to ensure optimal stock availability
  • Source parts from suppliers, negotiate pricing, and coordinate procurement activities to meet production and service needs
  • Maintain accurate data entry for inventory control, purchasing records, and demand planning
  • Assist with shipping & receiving operations, ensuring timely delivery of parts to internal departments or external customers
  • Support warehouse management tasks including organization, stocking, and equipment repair
  • Utilize forklift and other warehouse equipment safely during stock movement and storage processes
  • Collaborate with automotive service teams to identify parts requirements based on diagnostics and repair needs
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality standards are met and delivery schedules are adhered to
  • Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for maintenance scheduling related to equipment repairs
  • Support logistics planning for sourcing OEM parts and managing dealership or auto body repair orders
  • Provide exceptional customer service by assisting internal teams or external clients with technical questions or order inquiries

Experience

  • Proven experience in supply chain management, procurement management, or warehouse operations within automotive or manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with automotive diagnostics, OEM parts sourcing, and dealership experience preferred
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as AS400 or similar inventory management platforms
  • Knowledge of automotive repair processes, HVAC systems, auto body repair, and equipment repair is beneficial
  • Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification preferred but not required
  • Mechanical knowledge combined with data entry skills for accurate record keeping
  • Experience in negotiation, sourcing strategies, demand planning, and pricing analysis is highly desirable
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building supplier relationships and internal stakeholder support

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
