About the Hotel:
Plaza Inn is a well-established 4-star hotel committed to delivering high-quality dining experiences. We are currently seeking a skilled and creative Pastry Chef to join our Culinary Team.

Job Summary:
The Pastry Chef is responsible for preparing, producing, and presenting high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked items while maintaining the hotel’s culinary standards, food safety regulations, and cost controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and produce pastries, desserts, breads, cakes, and bakery items
  • Develop and present attractive dessert displays and buffet items
  • Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation in all pastry products
  • Follow hygiene, food safety, and sanitation standards at all times
  • Manage daily mise en place and production schedules
  • Control food costs, minimize waste, and ensure proper storage
  • Assist in menu planning and seasonal dessert creation
  • Supervise and guide commis pastry staff when required
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen
  • Coordinate with the Executive Chef and kitchen team

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef in a hotel or reputable restaurant (4-star experience preferred)
  • Knowledge of bakery, desserts, chocolate work, and basic sugar work
  • Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Creativity with attention to detail
  • Team-oriented with a professional attitude
