About the Hotel:
Plaza Inn is a well-established 4-star hotel committed to delivering high-quality dining experiences. We are currently seeking a skilled and creative Pastry Chef to join our Culinary Team.
Job Summary:
The Pastry Chef is responsible for preparing, producing, and presenting high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked items while maintaining the hotel’s culinary standards, food safety regulations, and cost controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and produce pastries, desserts, breads, cakes, and bakery items
- Develop and present attractive dessert displays and buffet items
- Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation in all pastry products
- Follow hygiene, food safety, and sanitation standards at all times
- Manage daily mise en place and production schedules
- Control food costs, minimize waste, and ensure proper storage
- Assist in menu planning and seasonal dessert creation
- Supervise and guide commis pastry staff when required
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen
- Coordinate with the Executive Chef and kitchen team
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef in a hotel or reputable restaurant (4-star experience preferred)
- Knowledge of bakery, desserts, chocolate work, and basic sugar work
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- Creativity with attention to detail
- Team-oriented with a professional attitude
