Patient Counselor(Bangalore Hospital)

Position Overview

The Patient Counselor serves as the primary liaison between patients, their families, and the treating consultants. This role is responsible for guiding patients through diagnosis and treatment options, addressing concerns with empathy, and ensuring a seamless consultation experience. The counselor also supports emotional well-being, maintains accurate records, and contributes to patient conversion and retention.

Key Responsibilities

  • Counsel outpatients and their families regarding diagnosis and available cancer treatment options.
  • Address patient concerns, clarify queries, and reassure them about hospital services.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between patients, families, and treating consultants.
  • Handle patient queries with empathy, patience, professionalism, and service orientation.
  • Coordinate with doctors and front office staff to ensure smooth patient consultations.
  • Maintain accurate counseling records, conversion statistics, and patient feedback.
  • Provide emotional support to patients and families during treatment decision-making.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on patient conversion ratios and trends.
  • Follow up with connected patients regularly to encourage treatment adherence.
  • Counsel patients on precautions, diet plans, yoga practices, and emotional motivation.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, AYUSH/NABH standards, and NOC formalities.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Hospital Management (UG/PG).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of patient counseling experience in the healthcare sector/hospitals.
  • Strong communication skills; soft-spoken, polite, and empathetic demeanor.
  • Prior exposure to hospital operations; immediate joiners preferred.
  • Ability to generate and analyze patient conversion reports.
  • Experience in counseling patients on lifestyle modifications (diet, yoga, emotional well-being).
  • Commitment to compliance with Ayurveda hospital standards and patient-centric service.

Reporting

  • Reports to: Medical Director / Senior Consultant
  • Coordinates with: Doctors, Front Office Executives, Customer Care Executives

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
